Terms of Service

The agreement, plainly.

— what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and the small print Apple requires.

Last updated: 21 May 2026

Who we are

Aspassia is an iOS app and service operated by Carmen Dincu, a sole trader based in Aarhus, Denmark. By downloading or using Aspassia, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Aspassia is

Aspassia is a personal practice app designed to support voice, presence, and confidence through daily prompts and reflections. It is not therapy, medical advice, coaching, or a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional or, in Denmark, call the Livslinien helpline at 70 201 201.

Your account

You need an account to use Aspassia. You agree to provide accurate information when signing up and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at aspasia@aspasiaapp.com.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Aspassia.

Subscriptions

How it works

Aspassia is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. We currently offer two plans:

Both plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. After the trial period, your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

How to cancel

You can cancel at any time from your iOS settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Aspassia → Cancel Subscription. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods.

To avoid being charged after the free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Refunds

All subscription purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled through Apple's standard process. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Aspassia cannot issue refunds directly.

Price changes

If we change our subscription prices, we will notify existing subscribers in advance and Apple will require your explicit consent before charging the new price. You are always free to cancel before any price change takes effect.

Acceptable use

When using Aspassia, please don't:

Your content

Anything you write into Aspassia — your reflections, journal entries, responses to prompts — remains yours. We do not claim ownership over it. As stated in our Privacy Policy, reflection text stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Our content

The daily practices, archetype descriptions, prompts, illustrations, text, and design of Aspassia are owned by Carmen Dincu and protected by copyright. You may use them for your personal practice within the app, but not republish, redistribute, or build derivative works without written permission.

Service availability

We aim to keep Aspassia available and working well, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, fix bugs, or update features. We are not liable for temporary unavailability or for data loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Disclaimer

Aspassia is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties — express or implied — about the app, its content, or its fitness for any particular purpose. The personal development content in Aspassia is offered for reflection and practice, not as professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Danish and EU law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Aspassia is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or your statutory consumer rights under Danish and EU law.

Termination

You can stop using Aspassia at any time by deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) and removing the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms us or other users. Where possible, we will give you notice before doing so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, except where mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify active users through the app or email. Continued use of Aspassia after a change means you accept the new terms.

Apple's required terms

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Aspassia. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. Other Apple-specific provisions:
